Description
Our Rehabilitation Department is looking for an experienced veterinary technician or assistant to join our growing practice! We have a service-oriented practice, with a focus on stress free patient visits, excellent client education, and treatment transparency. Our rehabilitation technicians and assistants perform the majority of our patient treatments and develop close relationships with clients. We have a newer facility with a dedicated room for therapeutic exercise, a hydrotherapy room with an underwater treadmill and VetSystems whirlpool, Class IV & Class IIIB Laser, therapeutic ultrasound, and GameReady equipment. Our veterinarians enjoy training and focus on continually learning and carry certifications in acupuncture and trigger point needling as well.
The Rehabilitation Technician/Assistant is routinely entrusted with patient assessments, procedures, and treatments. The Rehabilitation Technician/Assistant must be a detail-oriented person who can make good decisions and maintain high standards of patient care. Rehabilitation Technicians need to communicate clearly with the rehabilitation doctors, client services team, and the other rehabilitation staff to ensure that patients receive the care that they need.
Requirements
Certification in rehabilitation (CCRA, CCRVN, CCRP) is preferred; other related certifications (CCFT, COASM, massage) and/or canine training or competition experience is considered. Excellent client service skills, excellent communication skills with co-workers, and strong canine and feline behavior skills are necessary. Must have at least 2 years prior experience in a veterinary practice setting.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office programs and have the ability to learn electronic medical record system (EzyVet). Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted, kneel, twist, and assist patients in a variety of positions. Hourly wage based on experience and certification.
