The Emergency Room Technician plays a vital role in providing immediate care and support in a fast-paced veterinary emergency environment. Duties
- Assist veterinarians in emergency procedures and treatments for animals.
- Perform initial assessments of patients to determine their condition and urgency of care.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies in an aseptic manner.
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian or veterinary technician.
- Monitor vital signs and provide ongoing care to animals during treatment.
- Conduct laboratory tests as needed, including blood draws and sample collection.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the emergency room and treatment areas.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately, utilizing proper restraint techniques when necessary.

- Proficiency in animal handling techniques for various species, particularly dogs and equines.

Position requires One Overnight Shift and Two Day Shifts. Three 12 hour shifts total.
