What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Veterinary Health Center?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and address client inquiries or concerns
- Check-in and check-out clients and their pets, ensuring accurate documentation
- Collect payments for services rendered
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Assist with filing, record keeping, and data entry tasks
- Provide support to veterinary staff as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar customer service role is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with animal handling and restraint techniques is beneficial
- Experience with pet grooming, kennel care, dog training, or equine care is advantageous
- Proficiency in animal catheterization or veterinary critical care is a bonus
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively
- Strong organizational abilities to manage appointments, paperwork, and client records efficiently
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and billing processes
