Emergency Veterinary Technician-Experience Required

The Veterinary Medical Center at LWR is a new stand alone 6500 sq ft hospital for general practice and will be offering EMERGENCY as well, starting November 20th 2021 in the Sarasota/Bradenton, FL area. We are looking for multiple experienced full time experienced emergency veterinary technicians or certified veterinary technicians to join our growing team!

We are located about 1 hour south of Tampa and 20 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. Our hospital is privately owned with a strong focus on work/life balance.

We have all the latest diagnostics and treatments in hospital (i.e. doppler, ICU oxygen unit, in house Abaxis blood, istat, PT/PTT and urine machines, dental X-ray, ultrasound, full anesthesia monitoring SPO2/CO2/HR/RR/Temp, defibrillator, etc.). Our hospital is equipped with 7 exam rooms, a welcoming reception area, a surgery suite, a separate dental suite, an ultrasound room, digital X-ray room, ICU oxygen unit, separate isolation facilities ...and more. Necessary skills include: Client education, radiology position, excellent monitoring anesthesia skills, proficiency in blood draws and placing IV catheters, fecal and urine analysis, medication administration IV, SQ, IM, knowledge of basic medications (both oral and injectables), and more. We believe in providing excellent customer service and patient care. Excellent client and patient care skills are required.

Nights, Weekends and Holidays : 12-14 hour shifts
ER hours: 6p-8a Monday-Thursday
6p-8a Friday-Monday

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
