What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Veterinary Technician - Radiology Technician position at Veterinary Medical Center of CNY?
We are a 24-hour Emergency, Specialty and Critical Care center located in Syracuse, New York. We currently have a large team of full and part time emergency clinicians, as well as board certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, radiology, critical care, and oncology. We also have a physical rehabilitation suite including underwater treadmill, hydrotherapy pool, and exercise room. Attached to the VMC is an IDEXX reference laboratory, which enables accurate test results with a fast turnaround time for hospitalized patients. Learn more about the practice at our website
We are currently seeking a Licensed Veterinary Radiology Technician for our busy ER/Specialty practice
- Daytime, weekday hours - flexibility possible, including option for part or full time hours
- The technician is responsible for receiving radiograph requests from all hospital departments. Technician will receive orders from case responsible veterinarian regarding sedation, required views, etc, and will ensure compassionate, safe handling of the patient including administration of sedation/anesthesia. Technician will ensure that high quality radiographs are obtained and that patient is safely managed throughout. Technician ensures timely and accurate information is returned to clinical teams
- The technician is responsible for receiving, scheduling, and running CT requests from all hospital departments (training provided).
- Maintaining a safe and clean radiology suite by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
