We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team as a Triage Specialist. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners in need of emergent care, playing a vital role in assessing and prioritizing cases to ensure every pet receives timely and appropriate care.
We are a 24-hour Emergency, Specialty and Critical Care center located in Syracuse, New York. We currently have a large team of full and part time emergency clinicians, as well as board certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, radiology, critical care, and oncology. We also have a physical rehabilitation suite including underwater treadmill, hydrotherapy pool, and exercise room. Attached to the VMC is an IDEXX reference laboratory, which enables accurate test results with a fast turnaround time for hospitalized patients. Learn more about the practice at our website
We are currently seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to serve as a Triage Specialist for our busy ER/Specialty practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and Assess: Conduct initial assessments of pets presenting with urgent or emergency needs, determining the level of care required.
- Collaboration: Work closely with veterinarians and other medical staff to prioritize treatments and coordinate care based on urgency.
- Client Communication: Provide clear and compassionate communication with pet owners, explaining treatment plans and keeping them informed of their pet’s condition.
