- Educate pet owners on animal husbandry, nutrition, and preventative care.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Handle various species, including dogs, cats, and equine, with a focus on their specific needs.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of employment.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology.
- Experience in dog handling and familiarity with animal husbandry practices.
- Skills in pet grooming and laboratory procedures are advantageous.
