Who We Are:
At Profectus Livestock Solutions in Worthington, Minnesota, we partner with producers to enhance herd health, operational efficiency, and overall livestock productivity. As a beef-focused veterinarian on our team, you will play a key role in providing both consultative and hands-on veterinary services, from analyzing herd records and developing customized protocols to performing essential surgical procedures and diagnostics. You'll also collaborate with farm employees, offering training on best practices to ensure precision and consistency in daily operations. With a strong focus on preventive care, evidence-based treatment strategies, and advanced chute-side services, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on livestock operations while working alongside a dedicated and experienced team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operation and pen walk-throughs to assess herd health, welfare, and facility conditions. By analyzing health records, you will identify trends and implement targeted solutions to improve outcomes. You’ll develop customized vaccine protocols for both high- and low-risk calves and create SOPs to ensure consistency in farm operations. Additionally, you will provide hands-on medical and surgical services, including rectal and uterine prolapse repairs, eye removal surgeries, lameness evaluations, and reproductive health assessments. Your expertise in diagnostics, necropsies, and treatment plans will be instrumental in supporting the success of our producers.
