Job Description:

We are seeking Supervisor and/or Manager level candidates to join our food manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have significant spray drying experience ranging from knowing how to operate or direct the operation of a spray dryer to supervising or managing spray drying operations or supporting functions. We are looking to strengthen our leadership team by adding technical and leadership skills to the team. The particular role and career path is open and dependent on the capabilities and interests of a candidate who would be a good fit to join our company for the long-haul. We have no shortage of work to do and enhancements to make! So we envision building a position around capable and qualified candidate(s). (Therefore, there is no specific list of responsibilities shown at this moment).

The person must be able to operate a spray dryer and have produced a variety of powders and have risen to the rank of supervisor or manager of a spray drying function. They must be the go to technical person whenever a problem or challenge arises with the spray drying operation. It could be a problem with a particular product. It could be a 6 month project to improve X, that they will lead. It could be creating training documentation around spray drying. Manage all customer trials; good presence and voice with customers; very good and writing reports; very knowledgeable of CI tools.

BS not required, but preferred in engineering.

A person who is an engineer working an spray drying projects will not meet requirements. They need to have lived and breathed running a spray dryer and the hourly and daily challenges of doing so. An engineer is on the outside looking in.

Qualifications: Spray AND drying AND (gmp OR haccp )
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within food manufacturing, specifically with spray drying technology.

In-depth knowledge of spray drying processes and equipment.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to spray drying.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Proven track record of managing spray drying processes, particularly in the production of food powders.

Experience with optimizing production processes and improving efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and other food safety regulations.

Previous experience in managing teams, including training, performance management, and enforcing safety standards.

Education
Education: Experience and Skills:

Bachelor s Degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Advanced Certifications in Food Processing, Quality Management, or related areas are a plus.

Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing production data and using it to make informed decisions about process improvements.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
