Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and preparing chemical compounds in accordance with established formulas and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory practices, CGMP standards, and the ability to operate various equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- · Responsible all sanitation logs are completed daily.
· Responsible for re-weighing all API ingredients prior to batching
· Instructs cleaner on which tanks are priority to clean, pump, or have samples ready to be verified.
· Responsible for executing process validation batches.
· Responsible for daily preparation for the following day if needed. Example: Tanks heating overnight, mixing, and recirculating and or tank resting.
· Ensure all batches are completed for the day.
· Responsible for scheduling maps, when needed.
· Staying informed in all SAP trainings for compounding.
· Ensuring all employees in the department are continuously trained in SOP’s.
· Confirming daily cycles counts are completed
· In charge when Manager is not available or not present at work.
· Overseeing Pre-weigh and 2nd shift employees
· Responsible for Training Apprentice on batching.
· Responsible for inspecting all raw material prior to use in compound.
· Responsible for ensuring all tanks, drums and containers are clean prior to use.
· Responsible for reporting all product spills.
· Responsible for following all batch record documentation procedures as required by Good Documentation Practices.
· Responsible for bringing in-process samples to the lab for adjustments.
· Assist warehouse in moving released chemical from the warehouse to the batching area for storage.
· Must adhere to dress code standards.
· Must attend all training programs as instructed.
· Must understand and adhere to all applicable GMP standards as described in relevant SOPs.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques is a plus.
- · Minimum of 3 years with handling batches and mixing
- Forklift experience and certification
- Knowledge of GMP’s
- Knowledge of machining processes or fabrication techniques is beneficial.
