The essential duties of this position include :
Assisting with the management of state and federal grant programs.
Developing project budgets, schedules, and cost estimate analyses.
Supervising planning staff and coordinating the work of planning consultants.
Maintaining knowledge of current Federal Aviation Administration and industry planning requirements and trends.
Communicating effectively in written, graphical, and verbal formats, with a diverse stakeholder group, regarding highly technical and often sensitive information.
Managing airport planning studies, airport layout plan updates and specialized studies that include airfield development, transportation, general aviation, airspace, facilities, and land use.

Multitask and prioritize, especially under tight deadlines.
Effectively manage good relationships with all airport stakeholders.
Prepare effective planning communication, including presentations and planning graphics.
Review airfield development concepts and analyze them for standards compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency.
Demonstrated strength in managing diverse and complex teams, business decision-making and communication.
Knowledge of FAA rules and regulations related to airfield design, master planning, grants administration and airport development.
SALARY
Pay Range : $88,691 to $137,592 annually.
Hiring Range : $88,691 to $118,872 annually.
Pay Range Explanation :
Pay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification.
Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Five years of experience in airport operations, general aviation, or maintenance.
Three years in a supervisory capacity.
Bachelor's degree in airport or business management, or a related field.
Other combinations of experience and education which meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications listed above, plus :
Experience with transportation construction projects.
Experience with state and federal airport development grants management.
Experience facilitating stakeholder and public meetings on airport development matters.
Experience managing airport planning projects for large-hub and general aviation airports.
Master's degree in airport management, planning, engineering, or similar.
