Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician I (1st). The hourly rate for this position is $15.11 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You’ll Do
The Assembler I will be responsible for achieving daily production goals with focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role will be responsible for assembling Low Voltage Assemblies. They will execute all required tasks including, but not limited to allocation of materials, preparation of raw material, assembly, electrical testing and preparation of finished product for shipment. They will work with a team and flex in all areas of the assembly operation as needed including Lean Line operations such as can prep, tape, bridge joint build, print paperwork and labels, brush testing, final test, and assembly. Flex Line and PowerWave2 assembly operations.
You will be responsible for complex assemblies to fulfill customer requirements/orders by producing quality products, safely, in a timely manner following Standard Work.
Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.
Sustainment of 5S in area.
Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with WSRA’s, and wearing proper PPE. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to team lead, supervisor, or manager.
Follow standard operating procedures and method sheets.
Read and comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings.
Comply with written or oral instruction from supervisor.
Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembling.
Responsible for identifying nonconforming parts and troubleshooting errors. May be required to perform hi-pot electrical tests on assemblies.
Use various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust or repair assemblies. Use of layout, drill, saw, punch, rivet, caulk and paint material as required.
Apply identification labeling on completed assemblies as required.
Prepare assemblies for shipment or storage, as appropriate during final assembly process.
Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
Flex to other areas as needed or perform tasks of other positions as needed.
Perform Other Job Duties As Assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Minimum of three (3) months of experience using hand and air tools
Proven problem-solving skills.
