Business Account Executive
As a Business Account Executive, will be responsible for driving new business and selling services to both potential and existing business customers. As a hunter, you will be responsible for generating your own sales leads through cold calls and door knocking, and other prospecting methods. This Account Executive is a hybrid position with travel to and around the assigned territory daily and is responsible for the full sales cycle. You are the main point of contact for our customers, selling our cutting-edge fiber optic communication services to small and mid-market businesses. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in outside sales and experience in door knocking and lead development.
Essential Job Functions
Prospect and generate new business accounts through cold calls, door knocking, D2D and other sales tactics
Creating and delivering compelling presentations to customers and stakeholders
Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals
Build and maintain relationships with clients
Own sales leads and opportunities from start to finish
Implement a sales plan to achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue quotas
Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility or contacting by phone
Establishes professional customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel
Provides lost business and activity/call reports on a weekly basis
Provides a territory sales forecast on a monthly basis
Utilize Salesforce to manage accounts and sales activity
Spends at least 85% of time working visiting customers or potential customers
The position may require travel to other Metronet markets to solicit and secure orders from potential or existing customers. At any given time, duties may change to insure that the goals of Metronet are met
Performs all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1-2 years of Business-to-Business Sales experience
Proven track record of generating new business and exceeding sales quotas
Experience in prospecting through cold calls and door knocking
Technical or telecommunications background a plus
Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Additional Job Requirements
Knowledge of principles and methods involved in showing, prompting, and selling products or services, which include marketing strategies, tactics, product demonstrations, and sales techniques
Must complete and pass all courses offered by Metronet or pass proficiency tests
Available to travel for training or as needed.
