We are seeking a highly skilled Military and Family Life Counselor to join our team. In this critical role, you will provide vital support to children and youth of military service members, addressing their emotional and behavioral needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver non-medical counseling services to eligible children and youth at designated locations, focusing on assessment, brief counseling, and consultation.
- Collaborate with installation command and DoDEA schools to develop and implement effective counseling plans, ensuring the needs of clients are met.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with community resources focused on children and youth, providing necessary linkages and support.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices through regular supervision, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this role, you must:
- Hold a Master's degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited graduate program.
- Possess a valid unrestricted independent counseling license granted by a State, District of Columbia, US Territory, or Commonwealth.
- Have a minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
- Demonstrate intermediate-level competencies in technology, software, and communication tools.
- Show the ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse populations, including military members and children.
