In This Role, You Will
Drive the execution of Kimberly-Clark’s Customer Growth supply chain engagement and strategies with Walmart and Sam’s Club. Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally to drive quality, delivery, service, and cost efficiencies into the E2E supply chain. Leverage data and industry insights to offer supply chain solutions to the customer that are mutually beneficial.
Responsibilities/Deliverables
Lead the development and execution of KC & Customer supply chain initiatives to deliver incremental top-line sales, reduce costs, improve cost to serve and drive customer inventory & cost improvements
Build strategic relationships with customer’s logistics teams and leadership through partnership forums & ongoing interaction to achieve and maintain preferred supplier status
Develop strategic programming with Walmart and Sam’s Club and integrate into Customer Development joint business plans
Communicate customer’s supply chain expectations & strategies; dimension the impact to K-C and recommend changes to strategies and policies as appropriate
Align, develop, and mobilize implementation of supply chain best practices that deliver improved service, reduced distribution cost & complexity, and enable inventory reductions at K-C and the customer
Understand the Business Units’ and Customer Business teams’ supply chain initiatives and be the liaison between the customer and K-C to drive the appropriate programs
Ability to communicate clearly and precisely verbally and in writing to individuals and groups.
Adapt and support the organization through times of change.
Ability to assess business views strategically and make proactive recommendations for change.
Ability to build strong sustainable business relationships at various levels throughout the K-C organization and with key customers.
Focus on 1–3-year strategies that will drive business results for K-C and the customer.
Make continuous improvement recommendations using data analytics to support the improvement.
This role will be a customer advocate back into the broader supply chain, ensuring decisions are made with customer growth as a priority.
Drives improvements by ensuring customer KPI’s are reviewed regularly, and countermeasures enacted for red conditions.
Promptly reconcile and communicate customer changes in plans and programs, conditions, requirements in the marketplace, competitive activities, issues, and accomplishments that may impact results.
Take a leadership role in executing supply chain programs that require customer specific feedback and knowledge (e.g., bracket pricing, cost to serve, joint business plans, go to market changes)
Lead a supply chain initiative that is prioritized across the various teams and be the key thinker to propel that work forward for the benefit of all customers.
Adept at key stakeholder management
Influence
This role will have direct accountability to deliver service and cost excellence that is measured and assessed on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to “deliver today.” This role will also “build for tomorrow” by outlining strategic initiatives to partner on with the customer in years 1-3. Scope of influence for this position includes Supply Chain and Merchandising functions at Customer, Senior Sales Management, Customer Solutions, Demand Management, Distribution, Transportation, Customer Development Leadership and Customer Business Partners.
