Job Description
Our Electronic Technician is a member of a multi-functional team providing Technical Support Services for the Federal Aviation Administration Logistic Center (FAALC) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Electronics Technician Maintenance I applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. This person works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician. Work is checked frequently for accuracy.
The Electronic Technician shall complete all tasks in accordance with applicable FAA and FAALC standards, orders and technical instructions. Standard individual administrative tasks including recording individual time, leave, and training completion; performance management; compliance with customer organization and company standards; performing other tasks as assigned and demonstrating proficiency, accuracy and attention to detail in assigned duties. Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting, tear-down, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation services for designated equipment at the request of FAALC Product Divisions or Groups.
Examples Of Tasks To Be Performed Include:
NAVAID antenna and component repair.
Rotary joint and drive motor troubleshooting.
Circuit board testing and repair.
Production and repair of electronic cables and wire performing equipment performance analyses, and information collection and reporting.
Performing equipment adjustment, testing.
Installation of equipment and components, and modifications.
Installation and maintenance of NAS Radomes.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Minimum High School diploma/GED with completion of formal technical training courses OR Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology.
Familiarity with the purpose and operation of basic electronics test equipment including but not limited to multi-meter, oscilloscope, signal generator, AC/DC power supply, power meter.
Experienced in through-hole soldering/de-soldering.
Able to identify and interpret basic analogue and digital circuit schematics and symbols (e.g. resistor, capacitor, inductor, transistor, IC, etc.).
Able to perform basic electronics troubleshooting utilizing basic test equipment (e.g. Measure volts, current, resistance; Identify opens, shorts, grounds).
NACI Clearance - ability to obtain Public Trust.
