Who YOU Are And What YOU Can Become
The Engineering Technician will have responsibility of specific laboratory functions supporting the Mechanical Testing of Composite & Metallic materials and components, Production Unit Testing, and Factory Proof load (i.e. lifting devices). In addition, the Technician will be called upon to participate across other lab functional areas based on the work demand and priorities each day.
What YOU Will Do
Works with minimum supervision using, drawings, process instructions, test plans or other written specifications to perform job duties.
Under direction of Team Leaders, responsible for meeting technical, schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
Support the Team Leaders; provide guidance to less experienced Technicians in performing job assignments.
Must be able to operate equipment within the assigned lab function and perform hands on work.
Good written and verbal communication skills, and use of office productivities tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
What YOU Must Bring To Succeed
Associate’s Degree from an accredited university or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment. Composite experience is a plus.
Have current vehicle driver’s license to enable use of electric lift, tow, and transportation golf cart type of equipment certification.

What YOU must bring to Succeed:
Associate’s Degree from an accredited university or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment. Composite experience is a plus.

Desired Characteristics
Understanding of Electromechanical & Servo Hydraulic Test Systems (Test Suite-Elite, TestWorks, NI-Labview Development)
Experience with Metallic & Composite Mechanical Testing using industry standards (ASTMs, NAS, MIL-SPECs) and various sensor types such as load cells, strain gages, accelerometers, extensometers, and deflectometers
Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience in Electronics or Mechanical testing
Self-Motivated Team Player
Experience with NADCAP or customer audits
Ability to multitask and handles tasks with competing priorities effectively
Detail oriented and basic computer skills with experience with Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word
Familiarity with SAP application
