Summary
The General Manager will direct and manage operational activities while assisting and developing effective business strategies to successfully drive efficiency processes, organic growth, and sustainment of current customer base. The position will focus on US DoD to include Foreign Military sales, as well as the DNI, DHS and State. Duties for the General Manager will include allocating budget resources, formulating polices, coordinating business operations, motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities to include margin analysis and reporting on grow operating profits. Profit and Loss responsibility.
Essential Functions
Experience overseeing business operations with strong program management experience
Develop, implement growth strategies for targeted customers
Identify and create process improvement initiatives across the business unit operation
Experience developing and maturing employees to support professional development and succession planning initiatives
Develop and manage budgets
Improve revenue to meet designated revenue targets
Manage personnel selection and oversight
Evaluate performance and productivity
Analyze accounting and financial data to improve operational efficiencies and growth
Research and identify growth opportunities in support of the BD team
Routinely generate reports and give presentations
Will be requested to participate in Proposal Support functions
Competencies
Ensure clear, open communications between all functions and disciplines within the division and external support teams.
Troubleshoot problems, identify root cause, and recommend solutions
Drive business operations and growth by using metrics-based analytics regarding program deliverables and actuals with a focus on improving profit margin

Responsible for business operations and new captured business initiatives; employee and customer engagement activities

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours required, based upon business need.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel will be expected up to 30%.
Experience
10 years’ experience managing teams. Experience with federal contracting DoD/DoS.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business management or master’s degree in business administration preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required
Thorough understanding of defense and federal acquisition processes as both a prime contractor and subcontractor; understands the special benefits of the 8(a) Tribal entity in the Federal Contracting environment.
Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office products required
Project Manager Professional (PMP) or similar certification
Security Clearance
This position requires a minimum Secret Clearance. Top Secret Clearance is a plus.
