This entry-level Maintenance position is located in Waycross, GA, and ensures safe and efficient plant operation through repair, fabrication and installation of new equipment while maintaining all Quality and Safety measures.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Work with Maintenance Manager and/or Facility Manager to establish a program to eliminate downtime in trouble areas.
Repair production equipment safely and as quickly as possible after a breakdown
Work on assigned projects
Fabricate and install new equipment
Maintain machinery according to Preventative Maintenance Program
Troubleshoot equipment
Utilize safe work habits
Wear appropriate PPE
Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENT
Factory environment with a large range in temperature changes
Standing up to 12 hours daily
Walking up to 12 hours daily
Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily
Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily
Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. regularly
Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
Travel less than 10%.
Education & Experience Qualifications
Three years verifiable work experience preferred.
Background in fabrication, mechanical and electrical repair with use of shop tools preferred.
Ability to meet the requirements of the day shift routinely scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 5:30pm.
Ability to read precision gauges.
Ability to use hand tools correctly and safely.
Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required.
Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations.
