The Software Engineering manager is responsible for overseeing the entire development process of new features for existing products and programs within the assigned teams, from the initial planning phase to implementation or production. You are responsible for costs tracking, and to decide what ideas are worth pursuing. The Software Engineering manager must also stay informed on what is happening in the research and development field at large to make sure their company is up-to-date and current with the most advanced Engineering developments. As a manager, you are in charge also for overseeing employees.
What You Will Do (Job Responsibilities)
Responsible for overseeing the development, support, maintenance, and implementation of projects handled by assigned teams
Responsible for the overall success of the teams, comprising of multiple technology / product teams through strategic planning and alignment of units with broader organizational business strategy
Lead functional and technical analysis within product management and Innovation and architecture teams to understand business needs and opportunities
Work with new technologies and champion them in Invenco by GVR community
Develop new and apply / extend existing, concepts, methodologies, techniques for cross-functional initiatives
Responsible for developing appropriate processes and road map for the team(s) including hiring plans, training requirements, staffing, etc
The course of action is guided by corporate goals and strategy
Resolves critical issues impacting overall organization direction and results

Overall industry experience
Relevant experience as a manager, preferably in design or systems management
Proven ability to act at both the strategic and operational levels
Ability to see the whole picture and to focus on the important details in a pragmatic and result-oriented way with the ability to challenge when needed
Proactive in addressing and resolving problems through cross-team collaboration.
Bachelors / Masters Degree in Engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
Fluent in English
Excellent people management skills to attract motivate and retain talent
Excellent communication skills
Independent self-motivated and well-organized with an analytical mind
