Position: Medical Science Liaison, Cell Therapy
Location: Rocky Mountain Region (AZ, CO, NM)
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a member of a field-based team of scientists who function as an extension of the US Medical Affairs organization. MSLs are responsible for developing and enhancing professional relationships with medical thought leaders involved in various phases of product development. MSLs provide medical information through scientific exchange in a fair-balanced manner and provide clinical/scientific support for our Cell Therapy products at Bristol Myers Squibb in coordination with our Medical Affairs Department
This is a field-based position and requires professionals with established personal and scientific creditability to interact with thought leaders and centers of excellence. The position involves travel of more than 50%. The territory includes AZ, CO and NM.
Responsibilities Will Include
Identify, establish and maintain scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), in both academic and community centers.
Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator initiated research.
Develop and execute geography-specific Field Medical and KOL Interaction plans based on therapeutic area objectives and KOL needs.
Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate) in academic, community, and healthcare provider setting in both group and one-on-one situations.
Collaborate with the Clinical research and development organization to enhance patient enrolment in BMS-sponsored clinical trials by identifying appropriate trial sites and actively interacting with participating investigators.
Provide scientific support at National, Regional and Local medical congresses/meetings.
Capture and provide timely feedback/insights to internal stakeholders regarding the cell therapy treatment landscape for strategy development.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
MD, DO, PharmD, DNP, or PhD required
3-5 years clinical or research experience in hematology OR 3-5 years as a medical science liaison in lymphoma or multiple myeloma disease landscapes
Cell Therapy Experience Strongly Preferred
Proven ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams
Current working knowledge of US legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines relevant to industry interactions with health-care professionals
Ability to partner and maintain relationships within the medical community
Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
Translating scientific or clinical data into an understandable and valuable information to help physicians best serve their patient’s
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $150,000 - $200,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
