Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Metering Welder- 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30pm - 11:00pm. The rate for this position is $21.94 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You’ll Do
As a Welder you will be responsible for welding assemblies and components using welding equipment. You will interpret drawings and shop orders to perform welding operations accurately and efficiently, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
Set up, understand and proficiently operate all welding equipment.
Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.
ID and tag product with shop orders.
Retrieve/enter data into system.
Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.
Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
Weld components based on print specifications.
Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
Other duties as assigned.

Basic (Required) Qualifications
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
A minimum of one year of weld operations, to include MIG, TIG of stainless steel and/or aluminum.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Spot-welding experience
Basic computer skills.
Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.
Able to read, interpret blueprints and use simple measuring tools.
Position Criteria
Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.
Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail.
Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate¬.
Requires PPE to include safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, ear protection, cut resistant sleeves, and any other PPE required by the position.
Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, sparks.
