What you will do
Working under the framework of Johnson Controls Continuous Improvement system, will assess current state performance, identify gaps, visualize and establish a plan to get to the future state, monitor progress and share/acquire best-in-class ideas and systems.
What you will do
Identify gaps in Best Business Practice Metrics (BBP’s), and then work with all levels of the plant in establishing and executing a strategy for improving them.
Assess the Current state of the plant’s Operations; Develop Future State vision and drive and monitor the implementation plan.
Coaches CI team, including Plant Staff, Lean Implementers, Black Belts, and Green Belts, to apply correct approach /DMAIC tools for improvement.
Establishes C.I. Profit Plan and subsequent Forecast goals; Drives team to achieve.
Ensures Process Owner involvement in SOW development and team leadership.
Responsible for IDP and succession planning for all C.I. resources, including Lean Implementers and Black Belts.
Using standard tracking and reporting systems, will prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product/process quality and savings goals.
Collaborate with leadership to develop a plant C.I. Roadmap, driving breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance that balances resources between internal plant efficiency and external customer-focused effectiveness projects through 1. Just DO It improvements, 2. Six Sigma projects, and 3. Lean Implementation projects.
Assists Process Owners in identifying barriers to project success and helps to drive changes when needed.
Document improvement process learning and shares best practices with other Black Belts.
Identifies and brings forward to Champion new project opportunities.
Responsible for driving safety performance within the plant to achieve the JCI gold safety status (goal: no recordables or lost time injuries).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED.
3 years’ experience in fast-paces customer facing role with service specific troubleshooting preferred
Effective written and verbal communication skills to guide and troubleshoot issues via the phone
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Additional Job Requirements
Demonstrate proficiency in all interactions that they are handled with quality and the customer experience in mind
Demonstrated high level of professionalism via email, phone and in-person
Proven ability to work under pressure and handle high stress environments
Willingness to work as a team and independently.
Available to work holidays and at least one day of the weekend.
Certificates/Security Clearances/Other
What we look for
Required
University degree with a preference for a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. 6 Years suggested minimum experience.
Demonstrated high-level performance in current and previous positions.
Experience working in large, complex manufacturing/production organizations
Initiative and the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations.
Solid leadership skills and able to manage both vertically and horizontally
Financial acumen and basic statistical knowledge and the ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects
ERP and MS Office experience
Preferred
Green Belt or higher certification
