As a Plant Production Scheduler, you will establish and monitor the production schedules for the facility to meet customer requirements by ensuring order lead times are both reasonable and achieved. You are responsible for leading regular production scheduling reviews with the senior specialist production and control to ensure all the stakeholders are informed and come to a common understanding of anticipated demand, desired production rates, and the ensuing impact on the business performance. Based on the factory's available capacity, you will ensure all lines are released for the month. You will also ensure any orders that exceed capacity are moved into the correct month for builds and communication is given to customer service to ensure customer awareness of any changes. This position is onsite at our Duncansville, PA location.
- Ensure all order lines are production released into D365.
- Manage quick ship approvals by working with customer service lead.
- Works with Sr. Specialist Production and Control and Customer Service for customer lead time requests and order pull-ins.
- Maintain order inquiry spreadsheet owned by customer service.
- Attend and participate Customer Service, Factory daily management meetings.
- Attend and participate Shipping and Container meetings daily.
- Recognize and report capacity issues to Sr Specialist production and control.
- Attend regional calls to make any necessary schedule changes to meet requirements of the region for monthly customer demand.
- Any other order scheduling needs or work assigned to support our customers' needs.
- Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities
Associate degree or at least 2 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, or materials control function.
