We currently have a “Career” opportunity for a Station Service Manager. As the Station Service Manager, you will provide operational management and support at the service center location to ensure efficient and timely pick-up and delivery handling of customer materials and shipments. In addition, you will ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and DHL’s policies.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for overall efficient and effective Service Center operations regarding pick-up and delivery personnel and services
Ensures all material is picked up and delivered from/to all area accounts in accordance with DHL
guidelines, customer expectations and government regulations
Ensures safe, efficient and timely handling and transportation of all customer materials
Develops operations plans and budgets based on goals and objectives
Works with sales management to promote sales growth by advising on customer activities and achieving specific customer call targets
May manage, coach, and train sales representatives in smaller locations
May ensure compliance with import/export regulations, duties, and tariffs in some markets
Supervises two or more staff; responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff
Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes

Skills & Qualifications:
Typically requires BS/BA and 6-8 years’ experience in related field, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience or military leadership MOS experience
Has extensive depth of expertise and knowledge in specialized functions or business areas
A thorough understanding of specific aspects of work supervised and practical application to problems and situations ordinarily encountered
Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards
Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories
Viewed as expert in functional or business area within DHL
Deals with cross-cultural tactical issues
Professional certification required in some areas
Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets Driving Privileges standards
Must be 18 years old
Excellent customer service skills
Candidate must pass pre-employment background, drug, and medical physical screening
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) lbs occasionally
Must be able to lift forty (40) lbs frequently
Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch repeatedly
