Duties and Responsibilities
Business Case Development
Lead the creation of comprehensive business cases to support the IT department, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Present business cases to senior leadership for approval and prioritization of IT projects.
Department Needs Analysis
Collaborate with departments to identify and analyze business needs, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions to accurately capture the functional and non-functional requirements of stakeholders.
Translate business needs into technical specifications that guide the development and implementation of IT solutions.
Process Evaluation, Reengineering & Improvement
Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate current business processes and identify areas for efficiency improvement.
Ensure that process improvements align with overall business and IT strategies.
Software Research & Implementation
Conduct research on software solutions that address identified business needs, comparing functionality, cost, and long-term viability.
Oversee the RFP process, selection, acquisition, and implementation of new software systems, ensuring smooth integration with existing platforms.
Ensure all implemented software solutions meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
Documentation & Reporting
Create and maintain accurate documentation for business requirements, process workflows, and system configurations.
Ensure all documentation is up to date and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Mentorship & Training
Mentor business analysts, guiding them in best practices and methodologies to improve their performance.
Create and manage training programs aimed at enhancing the technical and analytical skills of team members.
Typical Qualifications Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in information technology or a directly related field.
Five years of professional experience related to the assignment.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, unless otherwise subject to other legal or regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
7 to 10 years of related work experience as an IT Business Process Analyst, Scrum Master, or IT Business Consultant.
5 to 7 years of experience working with large ERP vendors and major technology application providers.
Additional Information Knowledge of :

Enterprise-wide understanding of business processes, systems, and data.
Business analysis, including gathering and documenting requirements, business process modeling, and developing technical solutions.
Leading complex projects and initiatives.

ITIL version 3 Service Management methodologies.
Project management and leadership skills.
Microsoft Office Suite for reports, presentations, and data analysis.
Group facilitation and building consensus.
Federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations related to the field.

Supervising and evaluating staff performance.
Training and coaching staff.
Overseeing quality assurance and standards.
Providing project management, organization, and logistics coordination.
Monitoring financial information and statistics.
Serving as a department liaison and subject matter expert.
Identifying deficiencies and implementing solutions.
Researching industry trends and best practices.
Managing IT projects, processes, and functional operations.
Providing customer service.
Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
