About the job Program Management Senior Manager
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead efforts supporting the Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC / BC) portfolio. In this Advisory and Assistance (A&AS) role in El Segundo, CA, the essential job functions will include but may not be limited to :
Work on high-visibility, mission critical programs and perform all functional duties independently.
Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and / or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance.
Ability to understand complex cost, schedule, and performance data, and make simple, actionable recommendations or easily differentiated courses of action.
Lead efforts to build and manage acquisition documentation, interface with contracting and financial managers, and lead program execution.
Qualifications Required (Skills)
BS / BA with more than 18 years of experience; MS / MA with more than 16 years; PHD or JD with more than 8 years
Experience with successful delivery of a program to a customer or manage performance of a task or project as part of a larger program under direction of another PM.
Experience managing the balance of technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance on large program(s).
Extensive knowledge of Department of Defense operations and policies.
Can guide and direct the internal cross-functional team.
Experience developing program-specific processes, procedures, techniques, or tools.
Requires systems engineering or detailed technical approach involving trade studies, risk mitigation or complex schedule.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills.
Must have experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers.
MUST HAVE AT A MINIMUM, A CURRENT TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A TS / SCI CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
