About the job Unmanned Systems Software Support Engineer
In this role, you will :
- Assists in defining specifications for software programming applications and / or oversees the maintenance of existing programs to ensure continued performance and compliance with current guidelines and standards.
- Has ability to work independently and under general direction ensuring daily reporting requirements are upheld to ensure continuous support to customer missions.
- Possesses knowledge of a variety of software development environments.
- Performs software tests / investigation and provide clarification to the team about how the software works in order to assist them in development efforts.
- Possesses ability to work well with a team of engineering support staff from all disciplines.
- Performs all necessary aspects of the programming phase of software development including coding, testing, debugging and documenting using current guidelines and standards.
- Develops architecture requirements and performance standards to meet customer specifications.
- May perform systems modeling, simulation and analysis.
- Receives guidance from experienced software developers / architects.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by onsite lead system engineer and upper management.
