Summary
This position will work closely with the EGS C3 Systems Engineering manager. Primary duties will be focused on tracking of subsystem level requirements development, satisfaction, and closure and ensuring that the requirements needed for Artemis Launch Control System (LCS) are adequately captured in the appropriate requirements tracking database and testing procedures. A focus on innovation is strongly encouraged in this position.
Duties and Responsibility
Command, Control and Communications (C3) Launch Control System (LCS) Ground Integration Engineer (GIE) manages LCS Program Requirements while performing closed loop accounting of the LCS Validation & Verification objectives and maintaining the technical baseline for LCS, while providing oversight of the LCS Subsystem software development process ensuring that LCS Subsystem is delivering products that meet C3 LCS Program Requirements levied on LCS Subsystem Engineering. Additional roles & responsibilities include (but not limited too) are as follows :
- Review and Accept LCS System Verification & Validation (V&V) Test Procedures and Test Reports.
- Review and Accept LCS Subsystem CSCI / HWCI Design Documents and Test Procedures
- Support LCS Subsystem Test Readiness Reviews.
- Champion LCS Requirements; which includes (1) add / modify / delete LCS Program requirements and Stakeholder expectations; (2) processing Change Requests (CRs) from cradle to grave; (3) writing / champion EGS Waivers / Deviations and facilitating resolutions between development and Operations.
- Perform GIE duties / responsibilities during LCS VSR & Certification Reviews
- Review and
- Accept LCS System V&V as run test evidence used to close LCS Program requirements and Stakeholder Expectations per EGS approved baseline.
- Monitor and attend (as required) LCS Analysis tasks as required.
- Submit LCS GIE weekly status reports to C3 and present at C3 Integration weekly meetings .
Skills

Required knowledge : MS Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
Required skills : Excellent communication skills, excellent presentation skills, self-starter who can work independently with minimal direction yet is also comfortable working in a team environment
Education
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) required preferably Computer Science or computer engineering; Master’s degree preferred (can substitute years of experience for Master degree). Comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts and practices and ability to use in complex situations. 5 years of related experience is required.
