This position is in an inpatient setting specializing in child and adolescent care, with patients aged 3-25 years. The facility uses paper charts, though an EMR transition is expected within the next 6-12 months. The role requires 5 days a week for rounds, with flexible start times between 6 : 00 AM and 9 : 00 AM, working 9-hour days with an hour for lunch. The total bed count is 70, with a 50% census, and the physician will round on up to 8 patients. Board certification or board eligibility within 5 years is required. Weekend call is every 7-8 weeks, including call for the adult population (though adults are no longer treated at the facility). The team includes a clinical director, nurse manager, RNs, social workers, and other support staff.
