An inpatient forensic facility is seeking a full-time Psychologist to fill an upcoming vacancy. The credentialing process typically takes about two weeks, and the position starts in January for a 6-month contract with the option to extend.
The facility is located about half and a half from Atlanta, GA.
This full-time Psychologist position is for an inpatient forensic facility treating adults aged 18 and older. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with onsite availability preferred and the possibility of one telehealth day per week. The Psychologist will manage a caseload of 17-22 patients, seeing 4-5 patients per day, with the exact breakdown determined by the provider and Clinical Director. Risk assessments are conducted annually for each patient. The role requires a Doctorate in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) and an active GA license. Prior inpatient and forensic experience is preferred, though not mandatory. The facility encourages incorporating some therapeutic services, but it is not a requirement. Collaboration with MDs, PMHNPs, and other Psychologists is expected, using Avatar EMR, with patients being seen for about an hour per session.
