This correctional medicine position in Boston, MA, is needed ASAP for a 3-6 month assignment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM, with no call or weekend requirements. The caseload consists of 15-20 patients per day, plus overseeing individuals in medical observation, serving an adult-only population. Required certifications include BLS, CPR, and CSR with DEA, and candidates can be BC, BE, or GP in FM / IM. Procedures include standard correctional care such as treating coughs, colds, physicals, and possibly suturing. Credentialing takes about one week, and prior correctional experience is preferred, with leadership experience being a plus but not required.
