Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Account Manager to join our team, responsible for managing a large territory in Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IP-based surveillance systems and will act as both a sales representative and an account manager, providing end-to-end solutions for law enforcement and public sector clients.
While this is a remote position, the ideal candidate should reside in the Orlando, FL area or within a 25-mile radius of the city to meet potential location-based requirements. Compensation is comprised of a base annual salary plus sales commissions with an annual OTE of $110,000-$125,000.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, municipalities, and other government entities within the assigned territory.
- Make visits to our customers to identify opportunities for growth within our platform
- Manage all reporting about the health of customers' accounts and territory sales pipeline
- Conduct site surveys to assess customer needs and determine optimal technology solutions, including the appropriate types of cameras, megapixel requirements, power supply options, and networking infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance on low voltage systems, IP infrastructure, and storage solutions to ensure seamless deployment of surveillance systems.
- Collaborate with customers to recommend and design custom security surveillance solutions, considering factors such as environmental conditions, budget, and long-term maintenance.
- Deliver presentations and demonstrations of surveillance equipment, explaining the features and benefits in a clear, technically proficient manner.
- Create and manage proposals, quotes, and contracts, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-ups.
- Monitor project execution and maintain post-installation relationships, offering ongoing support and service for installed equipment.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in security technology and communicate those developments to clients.
- Work cross functionally within the company to communicate with all stakeholders in customers' success
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a technical sales or account management role, specifically in the security industry.
- Articulate and well accustomed to a client facing role
- Strong knowledge of IP-based camera systems, video management software (on-premise and cloud), networking (LAN/WAN), low voltage systems, and IP infrastructure.
- Experience conducting site surveys and recommending technical solutions.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently across a large geographic region.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Certifications in low voltage, networking, or surveillance systems.
- Familiarity with law enforcement requirements for surveillance and security systems.
