As a Director of Rehabilitation in a facility, your job role would involve overseeing and managing all aspects of the rehabilitation services provided in that setting. Some key responsibilities and duties may include:
- Developing and implementing rehabilitation programs tailored to meet the needs of patients in the facility.
- Supervising and evaluating the performance of rehabilitation staff, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards for rehabilitation services.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Assessing patient needs and developing individualized rehabilitation goals and treatment plans.
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Managing resources, including equipment and supplies, to support the delivery of rehabilitation services.
- Providing leadership and mentoring to rehabilitation staff to promote a positive work environment and professional growth.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of rehabilitation services.
