Personal Qualifications: Payroll Coordinators have a strong desire to relate to and work with the elderly. They possess high personal integrity, a caring attitude and portray a positive image. Professional Qualifications: Payroll Coordinators will possess a two-year associate's degree with an emphasis in accounting and at least six months experience in a full-time payroll position. Payroll Coordinators without the associates degree will have at least two years full-time work experience as a Payroll Coordinator with responsibilities including payroll and accounts payable. Payroll Coordinators must possess good skills in typing, ten-key calculator, and worksheet preparation. Payroll Coordinators must be able to schedule and perform work according to deadlines, apply skill in organization, and manage several projects simultaneously. Verbal communication skills are important to carry on conversations with residents, co-workers and visitors in an understandable manner. Payroll Coordinators are continually learning and growing by participating in educational sessions, in-service training and demonstrations.
