General Warehouse Worker: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading, and unloading merchandise, picking, and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. 1st shift- Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse.
- Receive incoming goods, check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
- Accurately sort, label, and store goods; arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
- Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
- Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries
- Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization's established procedures.
Skills for Success:
- Basic level of education will be required, reading, writing, and basic numeracy
- No formal occupational training required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment to achieve performance standards.
- Effectively work and communicate with others in a warehouse environment.
Job Requirements:
- Perform job duties in a safe manner, following all DC safety rules and regulations.
- Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Demonstrated agility and flexibility to adapt to changing business and operational needs.
