VFI is currently looking to hire a Titled Vehicle Specialist.
Job Description:
As a Titled Vehicle Specialist, you will work in the Asset Group within the Contracts Department and will handle titled vehicles in the Company’s lease portfolio. This role will require learning and understanding the requirements for obtaining updated titles to reflect ownership and perfection of VFI’s security interest in the titled vehicles in the various jurisdictions. This person will work with Transaction Managers and the Senior Equipment Manager to ensure that VFI has met all the titling requirements under applicable state laws as carried out by the states’ departments of motor vehicles. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience handling titled vehicles. The job description requires:
- Researching titling laws in the jurisdictions within the United States.
- Contacting the departments of motor vehicles to obtain retitling information.
- Perfecting security interests in titled vehicles.
- Obtaining ownership of titled vehicles.
- Communicating sales tax information and documentation requirements to personnel and lessees for the transactions.
- Drafting and issuing bills of sale.
- Preparing and submitting title applications.
- Setting up ELT accounts
- Assisting the team with questions related to processing registration and title paperwork.
- Working with DMV authorities to solve any outstanding issues.
- Developing good working relationships within VFI and with external resources and contacts.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years’ experience in vehicle titles or loan / lease servicing.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member while using discretion and sound judgment in decision-making.
- Ability to solve difficult problems and effective solutions.
- Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.
- Full-time hours required.
- System and software application knowledge (Salesforce, Google Suite, MS Word, MS Excel).
