What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technical Coordinator position at Vfp Inc?
Responsible for performing job evaluations of ongoing jobs to make sure they are progressing on time and without issues. Assist departmental manager in responding to customer service and warranty issues, scheduling, field service work, ordering job materials, maintain records, complete quotes.
- Respond to customer service issues raised by customer.
- Provide field instructions and statements of work to field service personnel for service and warranty issues.
- Order and ship materials for field and warranty work.
- Review the progress of a project and determine if its on schedule.
- If project is behind schedule, determine resolution to complete on time.
- Report back to the Field Service Manager on how projects are progressing and suggest improvements.
- Maintain spreadsheets related to field service and warranty jobs.
- Maintain individual job records, materials lists, statistical reports, and other reports as necessary.
- Review Engineering drawings, control prints, and materials lists for use in field.
- Perform other tasks as required by manager to support completion/resolution of all field or warranty work.
High school diploma or Equivalent (GED).
Minimum of five years electrical
Minimum of five years electrical trouble-shooting
Minimum of five years basic carpentry
Ability to operate a computer and associated software to include MS Office programs.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints with multiple projects at the same time, including any of your own.
Ability to oversee projects, checking for accuracy, efficiency, quality of work and timeliness of progress.
Ability to work professionally with multiple and varied personality types.
Ability to solve problems in a variety of situations with limited standardization.
Excellent communication skills to effectively present information to customers.
Ability to communicate effectively with Field Service Techs verbally or in writing.
Ability to support Field Service Techs to improve their work and become more efficient while keeping safety the number one priority.
Ability to understand and follow instructions given verbally, written, or by reading drawings.
Develop and employ thorough knowledge of VFP standards.
Working knowledge of electrical wiring standards.
Working knowledge of the Nation Electrical Code (NEC).
Working knowledge of general construction practices.
Knowledge of basic math skills.
