Responsibilities/Duties Of The Job
- Processing customer invoices
- Preparing daily deposit (Electronically deposited to bank)
- Apply & posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
- Processing customer account adjustments (debit/credit memos)
- Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer service departments, and from customer
- Taking customer phone calls with questions on account or accepting credit card payments
- Document all correspondence with customers in the appropriate note system
- Must communicate & follow up effectively with sales (member service) dept regarding customer accounts on a timely basis
- Displaying a professional manner while communicating with members, using good verbal skills and communication
- Operates all office equipment
- Assist accounting staff as needed
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
- 1 years of professional experience performing basic accounting functions
- General knowledge of accounts receivable tasks and functions
- Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Data Entry Skills
- General Math Skills and Information analysis
- Financial software acumen
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work as an effective part of a team.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, positive attitude, willingness to be flexible and help others on the team.
- Operation of office equipment and using technology efficiently such as computers, phones, misc. office equipment
- Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision,
- Time will be required periodically in the VGM office for pertinent work and meetings etc.
