What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Associate position at VGM Group, Inc?
Reporting Accountability: Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
Work Hours Classification: B1 - Monday-Friday, 1st shift [6am-3:30pm] 6:30am-3:00pm
Job Purpose Summary:
Assist in day to day operations of the Picking Associates on the floor and making operations run smoothly. Shippers will be operating at a computer station and checking packages for accuracy. This will require a team-player mentality, and you will also be committed to maintaining a safe and positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized
- Report any order discrepancies or issues to management
- Handle errors that are found at the shipping station
- Capable of working overtime if needed including extra hours during the week and some Saturday mornings.
- Embody the VGM Power of One Principals every day.
Key Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- High school education
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking throughout the facility for extended periods of time
- Making and stacking light weight boxes
- Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
