Job description
We’re seeking an Information Operations Specialist with excellent working knowledge of the current operations and other systems and policies utilized at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) or Government offices to provide day-to-day management and support to the WAMC.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform duties to assist and be the permanent backup for the IT personnel contract On-Site Program Manager.
Perform duties as assigned by the Chief Information Officer and the Deputy Chief Information Officer in support of program assistance, review and submission of correspondence, reports, and other documents, various administrative support and functions, and office administration.
Perform duties assisting with personnel control actions, projects, and resolving various problems related to the assignment, preparation, and administrative processing for actions assigned to the Information Management Division (IMD).
Will review and evaluate completed memorandums, reports, fact sheets, and information papers for the overall quality of documents, appropriate level of coordination, logic, soundness of recommendations, and compliance with necessary policies.

Perform duties to assist with maintaining suspense files on official actions.
Will perform duties to type in final form material representing a variety of correspondence formats in a timely manner. Proofreads material for accuracy in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Perform duties to monitor IMD office supply needs and communicate requirements to IMD purchasers when required.
Will perform duties to assist and be the permanent backup to the Facilities Records Management Officer to implement and provide DHA oversight in the planning, controlling, directing, organizing, training, promoting, and other managerial activities related to the creation, maintenance, and use, and the disposition of records, carried out in such a way as to achieve adequate and proper documentation of Federal policies and transactions and effective and economical management of agency operations.
Perform duties to assist and back up the Facilities Records Management Officer in periodic Records Management surveys (via records inspection) for gathering and analyzing data to evaluate the implementation of the effectiveness of all aspects of the Records Management Program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and a certification as a PMP or a PMI CAPM.
Minimum 10 years working experience as an Operations Specialist in the information technology sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development, web technologies, and records management.
Shall have in-depth knowledge of DoD and Army reporting requirements, policies, and regulations pertaining to Information Assurance.
Must have strong interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of WAMC Staff in a professional manner and with a professional demean
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication.
Related experience and/or education:
Candidates MUST have U.S. citizenship or the ability to obtain citizenship and be able to pass a government background investigation
