Job description
We’re seeking a Sr. Software Programmer to provide support to, implement, test and maintain the hospital’s server environment utilizing third-party management tools, install and support the server environment, assist in the implementation of hospital application programs, ensure backup and security systems are operative, and enforce network security policies. Perform on-call duties as required.
Full Job Description:
Design and develop new or modify existing programs and code.
Provide technical support for locally developed programs.
Perform systems analysis and systems design; translate system requirements into a conceptual system design.
Apply computer programming languages and techniques to formulate programming specifications and programming code.
Develop security procedures to prevent unauthorized access into the databases. The contractor shall implement control measures to ensure databases remain consistent with standards.
Correct user-identified problems, evaluate user-initiated system change requests, develop and implement approved system change requests, and evaluate and implement state of the art improvements to applications.
Provide assistance with required modifications to clinical and administrative systems, maintain these computer software systems which organize, store, retrieve and perform complex manipulation of data which are subject to frequent change.
AIB with Senior Software Programmers who designs and develops new or modify existing programs and code.
Perform on-call duty on evenings, weekends, and holidays to provide guidance and support to customer support technicians on resolution of program/applications problems and/or failures, and may be required to return to the work site to resolve critical problems.
Certifications and Experience:
Five (5) years of programming experience or Bachelor’s degree in Software Programming.
Experience with deployment of client-server applications and development of ASP.net web applications. Development experience with Telerik, ASP.NET AJAX or C# is desired.
Meet the requirements for a IAT Level II position as defined in DOD 8570-01-M consisting of a Baseline certification, such as CompTIA Security and a Computing Environment certification for the Windows Server OS such as CompTIA Server , MCSA Windows Server 2016 or a specific programming certification (subject to review).
