Position Summary:
The Program Manager for the Youth Wellness Hubs will lead, develop, and oversee initiatives aimed at reducing youth suicide rates, specifically within diverse communities, with a focus on mental health, advocacy, and collaboration. This role involves managing and coordinating suicide prevention programs, ensuring effective operations, and supervising mental health staff, while fostering partnerships with community organizations, faith leaders, and other stakeholders. The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing clinical programs, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, managing budgets, managing and overseeing staff, overseeing and submitting monthly and quarterly reports, supporting program evaluations, and assisting with study implementation and collaborations with UNC. This position requires a combination of strong leadership, program management, clinical expertise, and a deep commitment to supporting youth mental health, particularly within diverse communities.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the mental health field, including a background in youth suicide prevention, care coordination, and case management. Experience in supervising staff, managing projects, and advocating for mental health resources and funding is essential. The Program Manager will also have proficiency in evaluation and reporting, ensuring that all programs meet clinical standards and continue to improve based on community feedback and needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Implement Programs: Create and oversee youth suicide prevention programs that meet clinical standards and address community needs.
- Daily Operations Management: Ensure the smooth operation of youth suicide prevention programs, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
- Staff Supervision: Provide weekly supervision and support staff and clinicians, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Oversee contractors and provide support as needed.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all programs comply with healthcare regulations and standards. Submit montly and quarterly reports.
- Program Evaluation: Regularly assesses the effectiveness of programs and services, making improvements as needed.
- Budget Management: Create and manage program budgets, ensuring financial resources are used effectively.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports and proposals on program outcomes and future plans.
- Community Collaboration: Collaborate with community organizations, stakeholders, and faith leaders to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
- Direct Clinical Services: Provide direct clinical services when necessary, including intake assessments and treatment planning.
- Advocacy: Advocate for mental health resources and funding, promoting mental health awareness within the community.

Qualifications:
Special Licenses and/or Certificates:
- North Carolina mental health licensure designation is preferred.
Education and/or Experience:
- Master's degree in Human Services, such as Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of post-degree work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years working in the mental health field
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of: Internet Explorer; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Word; Windows Operating System
