ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB is seeking a Civil Engineer for our Mid-Atlantic Energy Evolution Practice | VHB. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, collaborative team driving innovation in the energy sector. Responsibilities
  • Work within a team of professionals to assist in the development of civil engineering plans and specifications for Energy and Land Development projects.
  • Perform field work either alone or in pairs to collect data, record measurements and site photos/videos.
  • Draft plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Assist in the preparation of land entitlement and permitting documents.
  • Develop reports presenting design calculations.
Skills and Attributes
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team oriented with capability to work independently.
  • Ability to perform engineering tasks in coordination with the project team on integrating the design and developing deliverables.
  • Strong computer skills with experience or exposure to AutoCAD Civil3D preferred.
  • Experience or exposure working with PondPack, HydroCAD, StormCAD, AutoCAD S&S Analysis or similar stormwater design software
  • Self-motivated, ability to think critically and attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related degree
  • 0-1 years of land development /civil engineering internship/co-op experience
  • 1-3 years of land development / civil engineering experience preferred
  • Prior land development design experience (erosion control, stormwater management and site grading) preferred
  • EIT preferred
