What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Support Specialist position at VHBC and Virginia Support Services?
Virginia Home Based Counseling (IIH) and Virginia Support Services (MHSS) is a Statewide mental health agency that provides Mental Health Skill Building and Intensive In Home Services. We are currently seeking Registered Peer Recovery Support Specialists in Rockbridge and Augusta Counties who are looking for outstanding pay, consistent work and a friendly work environment.
At this time we are only able to work with individuals who are already Registered as a Registered Peer Recovery Specialist.
Both full and part time contracted positions available.
The PRS Specialist will provide Mental Health Peer Recovery Support Services and or Mental Health Peer Support Partner services.
PRS Specialist provide direct client care in the home and community.
The minimum qualification is Registered Peer Recovery Support Specialist with the Board of Counseling. All PRS Specialists must be Registered with the Board of Counseling.
Bilingual or previous Peer Recovery Support experience is a plus but not required.
