What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Support Specialist position at VHBC and Virginia Support Services?
Virginia Home Based Counseling (IIH) and Virginia Support Services (MHSS) is a Statewide mental health agency that provides Mental Health Skill Building and Intensive In Home Services. We are currently seeking Registered Peer Recovery Support Specialists in the City of Richmond and Petersburg and counties of Hanover, Henrico and Chesterfield who are looking for outstanding pay, consistent work and a friendly work environment.
At this time, we are only able to work with individuals who are already Registered as a Registered Peer Recovery Specialist.
Both full and part time contracted positions available.
The PRS Specialist will provide Mental Health Peer Recovery Support Services and or Mental Health Peer Support Partner services.
PRS Specialist provide direct client care in the home and community.
The minimum qualification is Registered Peer Recovery Support Specialist with the Board of Counseling. All PRS Specialist's must be Registered with the Board of Counseling.
Bilingualor previous Peer Recovery Support experience is a plus but not required.
