At VHC Health we are looking for a Clinical Technician (CNA) who will work under the direct supervision of an RN and will be an active member of our Inpatient Rehab Team! This team member performs a variety of routine duties involving the care of patients including performing direct patient care or activities of daily living, observing and reporting changes in the status of patients, providing a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and other related duties. Clinical Technician must be empathetic, have good communication and nursing skills to care for patients.

Unit Information: The Inpatient Rehabilitation Center (IRC) at VHC Health is a 20-bed CARF-accredited acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. Our goal is to provide the highest level of quality care with a focus on individualized treatment. As a member of the team, the patient and his/her family will help to set his/her goals to restore function and quality of life. Our patient population consists of Medical/Surgical patients who have suffered disabling conditions requiring acute, inpatient physical rehabilitation. Common diagnoses can include: CVA, amputees, bilateral total joint replacements, spinal cord injury, multiple trauma, traumatic brain injury, and neurologic diagnoses such as Parkinson's disease, guillian barré, multiple sclerosis, etc. The IRC uses multidisciplinary nursing, medical, and therapy care to meet the individual needs of each patient.
Qualifications:
- Experience: CNA, Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech, Med Surg Clinical Rotations (Nursing School) experience required.
- Education: High School graduate or US equivalent required.
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required.
Responsibilities:
- Assists residents with dressing, bathing, oral hygiene and related personal care.
- Serves food, feeds residents and collects trays when necessary.
- Maintains clean and dry bed, changes bed linen, gathers and deposits soiled laundry.
- Lifts residents in and out of beds and wheelchair, positions residents when necessary.
- Observes residents to report physical and behavioral symptoms to medical personnel in charge.
- Takes and records resident's blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration and weight.
