Purpose & Scope:
The Public Safety Supervisor patrols VHC Health facilities and property to maintain order, protect personnel, and prevent fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, etc. Enforces VHC Health policies and provides assistance to patients, visitors, and employees. Responds to other Public Safety requirements of the VHC campus. Responds to complaints of wrongdoing and prepares incident reports / activity logs.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
Two year of experience as a security officer is required.
One year of significant customer service delivery is preferred.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
Virginia DCJS Unarmed Security Officer License to be obtained within six months.
Valid state driver's license is required.
Clean driving record is required.
Other Qualifications
Employees hired prior to the September 1, 2021 job description update (to certification section) will obtain their Virginia DCJS Unarmed Security Officer License within 6 months of the effective date of the job description version, no later than March 1, 2022.
