Role Summary

Welcome to Via Logic, where you will be joining a dynamic team known for its collaborative spirit and innovative approach to solving complex challenges. We are currently seeking a technical talent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience for a full-time role to assume a pivotal role in supporting our federal government client's business and mission objectives. This role requires U.S. Citizenship to obtain a Public Trust with expertise in architecting, developing, deploying, and managing secure cloud solutions. The successful candidate will be implementing everything-as-code with DevSecOps best practices in AWS cloud environments and modern application technology stacks.

As a client facing professional, your responsibilities will include collaborating with key stakeholders and contributing to cloud projects that align with client objectives and regulations. Your insights will play a crucial role in deploying and operationalizing capabilities for clients.

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate a high level of professionalism with technical proficiency, obtain a U.S. Public Trust, and possess a proven track record of successful Agile project collaboration and delivery.

Our Key Requirement:

  • Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Public Trust with U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as this work is for a federal government client. Candidates will need to successfully complete a Background Investigation (BI) and credit/financial check prior to beginning work. Nothing in applicants' history should prevent them from obtaining a public trust.
  • U.S. citizenship is someone who was born in the US or obtained citizenship through naturalization that the government will verify. The government has excluded non-citizen nationals, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), refugees, or those on temporary visas.
  • MUST RESIDE in the U.S. and all work MUST BE PERFORMED in the U.S.

Your Responsibilities:

  • CI/CD Pipeline: Using secure, automated CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based environments, ensuring integration of security checks and compliance measures.
  • Cloud Optimization and Application Management: Build, Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure and applications that are government and public facing.
  • Security and Compliance: Conduct thorough security assessments, testing, and compliance checks to ensure infrastructure meets or exceeds federal and industry standards.
  • Front-end and Back-end Solutions: Translate business requirements into technical solutions, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and address data anomalies.
  • Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Agile project teams, contributing to deliverables and fostering continuous improvement in DevSecOps practices.
  • Production Support: Provide operations support, oversee pipelines and build processes, support production applications in cloud environments, and emphasize automation in operational tasks.
  • Integration and Data Flow Management: Understand and manage integration points and data flow and ingestion processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Your Required Skill and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced Cloud and DevSecOps Skills: Experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS, including expertise in AWS EC2, ECS, EKS, and Lambda, Docker, Swagger, Redis, New Relic, Kubernetes and deploying applications, containerization, microservices, APIs, and databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle RDS, DynamoDB). Demonstrated proficiency in CI/CD automation, using tools like Jenkins and Gitlab to embed security, quality, and testing into pipelines.
  • Programming and System Optimization: Strong programming and scripting abilities in Java, Spring Boot, Javascript, Ruby, Rails, ReactJS, Swift, Python/Anaconda, Scala, and Node.js, focused on automating tasks and enhancing operational efficiency. Proven skills in optimizing solutions, for performance and cost effectively to meet demands.
  • Full-Stack Development and Data Proficiency: Proficient in full-stack development with strong experience in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks with specific user experience and interface examples. Strong experience in back-end technologies. Skilled in data models and management using SQL and Python with a thorough understanding of data structures, flows, and ETL processes.
  • Secure Cloud Delivery: Skilled in cloud-native services and secure cloud networking, including TLS/SSL, encryption, and key management, with abilities to create microservices and data stores across multiple applications. Understanding of compliance standards such as FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, and SOC to enhance the privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance posture of cloud solutions.
  • Innovative Problem Solving and Product Management: A forward-thinking approach to problem-solving, constantly seeking process improvements and providing unique solutions to complex challenges. Exceptional project management capabilities, managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously with innovative approaches.
  • Dynamic Teamwork and Agile Practices: Strong teamwork and communication skills, understanding agile software engineering principles and best practices to foster effective collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Preferred: Government sector experience, preferably at DHS, and with an active public trust clearance. Additionally, having excelled in 2 or more years of experience developing applications for large-scale business customers and 2 or more years of experience working in an agile development environment using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Scrum methodology.
