What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Via Transportation?
River North Transit operates an Safe Ride service in partnership with Northwestern University. We are working with a staffing agency, HireArt, to help bring talented and dedicated drivers into the service!
What You’ll Do:
- Safely and courteously operate vehicles to transport Northwestern University students
- Learn the fundamentals of vehicle operations and related safety procedures
- Perform the routine operation of vehicles, including pre-and post-shift inspections
Who You Are:
- At least 25 years old
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Have more than one years of driving history
- Pass a motor vehicle check and criminal background check
- Possess sound knowledge of the city and an excellent driving record
- Able to follow written and verbal instruction
- Patient, empathetic, and sensitive to the needs of people with disabilities
- Able to apply in person at River North Transit's offices in the Evanston area
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $20.00/hour.
